Big Chris's review of the Goodwood Revival Meeting is spot on, so I'll just add a few tips (based on my visit in 2001 as a team member). What is It? Lord March has completely recreated the style and spirit of motor racing in the 40' to '60's. All cars have be of the right age to have been able to race at the circuit before it closed (in '66 if I remember correclty). Goodwood is a fantastic circuit to race and watch at. People say it is like walking onto a film set, but really it's like walking into a full size Scalextric track (the Scalextric buildings from the '60's were actually based on the Goodwood buildings). If you wern't there you should have been!! I attended the revival meeting on Sunday 17th September of this year which was the main race day. This year was as good as ever even with the fuel crisis only a few cars were not there. That had no effect on the racing and with the dry weather and track conditions there was some of the closest racing I've seen so far. My personal favourite at the meeting was the reciently rebuilt lancia D50, unfortunatly they didn't seem to want to race it but it was still good to see it there.
