Alan Buckley is appreciated as one of the hardest working managers in the game, and will have to pull out all the stops this season if Grimsby are to avoid a relegation battle.

Having scored only three goals in the last 11 league games, from which they gained only five draws, Buckley has a huge job in regaining the confidence of the players.

Favourites for relegation and justifiably so, especially as they have sold their top scorer Lee Ashcroft. His partnership with Jack Lester was the best thing about Grimsby last term and now both are gone. Only 41 goals last season, which explains it all.

they did the same as Colchester. Sold Lua Lua to Newcastle and now cant get any points!
They are gonna get relegated too!
