I have supported Grimsby Town ever since I was a boy, and I go and watch all their macthes when they are playing a London team. Lately, however, they have been playing very poorly, and they have had a disastrous start to this season, and are now in the bottom section of the First Division table. They are well reknowned as a selling club, and have now lost their manager who was brilliant and they are selling all their best players. We have to be realistic in saying that they are probably never going to get into the Premiership, because they simply do not have the funds with which to attact the best players, like Fulham and Watford do. They are realistically not going to beat these sides, as shown on Saturday when we were outclassed by Fulham. The aim for Grimsby has got to be to sustain our position in the top half of Division 1, and then build on that so we can eventually get back into the Premiership (although I admit that looks it unlikely at the moment) It would be a dreadful shame if they went back down to Division 2, because it took them so long to get out of that place. I hope they get back on track soon, because you belong in the top flight of English football. Sort it out Grimsby and get back to where you belong. (Hopefully I will not be warching Grimsby in the Autoglass Trophy next season!!!!!!)

hannahf - 29/11/00 Grimsby's not my first team - but as it's so hard to get tickets for ManUtd games, I've been to a few of their's. They have a good squad, in my oppinion Paul Groves being the best now Aiden Davidson's gone.
Good oppinion ! |
