Mika Hakkinen, the flying Finn is the Formula One World Champion of 1998 and in 1999, he became the seventh man in history to win back to back championships. Well, after winning the world title, the expectations upon Mika and his driving abilities rocketed from being large to absolutely emormous. That is why that the current season can be considered poor by many people, including himself, and probably rightfully so. Mika has been doubted in the last few months. Many people feels that he had started to fade away into the background instead of continuing to compete for the world title which he should be doing. Well Mika is NOT past it yet. So many times we have seen Mika Hakkinen drive some fantastic races and win race after race. But, this is normally only when he has started from a high position on the grid. Once Mika drops to a position below the top four, either on the grid or in a race he seems to lose the will to race. Obviously because the McLaren is such a great car he will still do well, but not as good as he could do. This season the McLaren car has not gone so well and already we see Mika taking a very relaxed attitude towards the world championship.
