My hanging baskets are an absolute treat, even if I say so myself. After several years perfecting the art of hanging baskets, I have finally decided why mine are the envy of the street!!!! The secret is in the liner, I will not use any kind of man made liner, cardboard liners or coir, but will only use moss !! You can still plant through the sides and if you slip a small section of plastic in the bottom it acts as a reservoir. Also add some kind of water retaining crystals, and most importantly a slow release feed tablet this also helps to keep the flowers going !!

Always dead head, regularly and take the tops out of Surfinias, this will help them bush out and not end up all long and stringy !!

Really if you want better hanging baskets, you must water them at least twice daily when its hot, and each week give an extra boost with miracle grow, 'cos Des swears by it and he is GOD after all !!
