I have now supported HUFC for 10 years, my first match was on the 13th september 1990 and since then ive been hooked(dont ask why coz i cannot answer that). I go to all homes games and some away matches even though i live 50 miles from Hartlepool. I normally go with my dad and sometimes my mate ian comes along when he is not at work, or i just drag another mate along if i can convince them(not mentioning any names). We have always been a struggling side with money but not now! this is because we were taken over by a oil company called IOR(increased oil recovery)and they have cleared all the debt we were in. HUFC has always been a side that has produced a good crop of young players and this is because we have a good youth set up. Our manager is a man called Chris Turner, once of Man Utd, Sheff wed and of course Leyton Orient! he came to HUFC in feb 1999 and saved us from relegation to the dreaded conference, and then the next season he got us into the play-offs, which was a real achievement for us. We have alot of good players at the moment, the likes of Tommy Miller, Greame Lee, Ian Clark, Micky Barron, Paul Stephenson, Kevin Henderson and Anthony Williams(most capped player at wales U-21 EVER!!!!, wot an honour). Anyone who is reading this now will think , no there not very good as they are only 16th in division three, BUT my good friends, we have a really bad injury list at the moment COMPRENDE!!!!!
