Advantages: You will learn how to be accepted and earn more money

Disadvantages: It will take 5 minutes of your life to read the review!

After initially becoming a member on this site to earn a quick couple of pound, I am pleased to say that I am still going strong and better than ever after just over five months on this site. The reason-reading reviews like this and learning how to become a much better member.

If like me, you saw the idea of writing 150 words on something you knew to earn 50p, plus all the money from rates you could earn as a really easy and quick was to make an extra tenner, the I hope you do take note of this because you will reap the benefits in the long term.

My first reviews were terrible, just over the bare minimum to get the money and of no quality whatsoever, so my first piece of advice would be to take it seriously, it will soon become an addiction(another matter entirely) and write the reviews to the best of your ability-follow the ethos of 'if you dont have anything to say, then dont say anything' This saves trying to write about something for the sake of it and making it another poor quality review clogging up the dooyoo system.

The next part is that if you want to make it a long term gain, rather than seeing the short term benefits of earning those 50p's, then you will need to become accepted as part of the dooyoo community. To do this you will need to read and rate lots of peoples reviews, and they will, over time, generally read and rate your reviews back. For every read or rate you recieve, you will earn 1.5p. This may not seem much at the time, but I have earned almost the same through review rates as I have through the reviews that I have written. Over time you will earn others respect and you will get your regular readers, thus ensuring more money in the long run.

I think the biggest piece of advice I could offer to anybody though would be....DONT CHURN! It immediatly turns the regulars against you and you will earn no respect. Yes you may earn £10 very fast, but soon you will find it hard to write any reviews, and you will not be accepted by the community and will probably just give up. If you follow the advice I have given I hope that like me, you will learn to appreciate dooyoo for what it is and in the long term, you will benefit far more from it!

Summary: Overall.....Dont Churn

Thank you for the useful advice in this review. As a newbie it isn't always easy to pitch things right, to put reviews into the right categories, to find the products in the catalogue that you want to review / to wait patiently whilst your suggestions are considered. But I will keep on trying!

I never churned and always rated but my first reviews weren't exactly great. Think I may have joined at the same time as a lot of the people from the moneysavingexpert newsletter which didn't do me any favours. Good advice :)
