For anyone who read this the first time .... my newest questions are futher down the page !!!!

Hello, as a fairly new member of Dooyoo I am very pleased with the site and want to take part in it more but I have come across one or two problems which are probably caused more by my lack of computer skills than anything else as I am still very much a newbie to the www and my pc and I don't expect a complete tutorial on how to use my computer! But I thought someone may have some useful tips to my queries which I haven't been able to find answers to in faqs ... so here goes.

Can anyone tell me if and how I can write my ops off line? The reason being I have written a couple of ops and submitted them fine, but a couple I have written kept coming back with an Error message when I tried to send them, and I couldn't work out how to correct the error or even what the error was! It had taken a lot of time and effort ( I am a slow typist) and I was very upset when the op I had spent so long on eventually disappeared without being submitted! I have quite a few ideas on things I'd love to contribute but its putting me off in case I sit for 2 hours thinking and writing only to lose my efforts again.

I'm not even sure if this is quite the right place to be asking thsese questions but any help and pointers would be appreciated, although I am working my way through all the new members advice ops bit by bit I haven't yet seen anything which helps me with this one!

By the way I think Dooyoo is a great idea and has a great community feeling, I'm just a little bit lost so far finding my way round, Oh and it is very time consuming isn't it, or is that just me again???

Thanks so much for all the help which came back at me, I've been around for a couple of weeks now and still enjoying myself, but I still have one or two things I need to know but haven't been able to find on the site, I'm s
ure it's all written somewhere as every subject sems to have been covered very thoroughly but short of giving up my job (oh that I could!) and spending 24/7 on Dooyoo I can't find them.

Can anyone tell me how one earns a coveted crown??? I have been very kindly nominated a couple of times and was thrilled that anyone liked my waffle enough to think it worthy, but no crowns appeared, does an op have to get a certain number of nominations or receive a set amount of reads to get a crown?

I just love to read comments and see that little number increase, albeit slowly as I get the odd new read, or two.

I have also read lots of ops about writing a good op and it has helped but I still seem to be getting fewer reads than I would like, I try to read and rate as many as I can but again lack of time ( and maybe I'm a slow reader ) means I can't read everything I want to. Am I being impatient? Am I expecting too much??? More help and advice would be great ( and I promise I haven't just updated this in an attempt to get more reads )
