Advantages: Rewarding, Helpful to others
Disadvantages: None - unless you CRAM
Hi New Member. Welcome to the site which offers a great deal of reward for a little common sense. The Idea of dooyoo: ------------------- This is a simple one, the idea is to help people to make better decisions. The world is a huge place, lots of people with lots of knowledge - why not share it around? The site helps the indecisive to become decisive! By letting the opinions of others influence them The way it works: ----------------- Opinions are written, just like this one here, the new ones are posted on the front page to get noticed and are then graded and ranked by other members so the useless ones are not pushed forwards and the Very Useful ones get a lot of viewing. As you develop in the dooyoo world you will get to know how to rate the opinions (ops) and how to get a good point noted and read - this is very rewarding. The rewards: ------------ For each member who reads an op of yours, you rewceive dooyoo miles, 50 per member read! You can exchange these miles for rewards: Merchandise - dooyoo branded, Ipoints - for every 10000 miles you get 100 ipoints from ipoints.co.uk, CASH - yes, that's right, you can get money for writing opinions which are helpful and popular - it's an incentive to help people which can be the real reward in itself. I wrote an op on a book I loved, the opinion was commented upon by a lot of members who had seen the film and thought that the book sounded great - ALL FROM READING MY OPINION! It made me feel like I'd helped someone and felt really good. It's important to read ops as well as write them, if nobody reads any opinions then no dooyoo miles are awarded to anyone and we all miss out. Guide to writing ops: --------------------- I've gone on about this before so I won't repeat myself - simply state that a successful opinion is - To the point. - Informative. - Well written grammer
and spelling! - On a subject you know about and are passionate about. I like to break my ops into sections as it is easier on the eye and easier to read through. Do not simply bash out 200 useless opinions have only 3 or 4 people read each one and think you're doing great - you will not be. You will get known as a crammer - simply searching for the dooyoo miles in an uninhibited attack of dooyoo greed. Try to ensure that your ops have good spelling and grammar, I know I'm guilty of submitting a few with typos and I like to have them pointed out so I can update, it's always great to get feedback. Guide to rating ops: -------------------- As a member you'll be able to effect the ratings of ops which are written. After you read an op you can rate it - From Very Useful, down to Not Useful. This makes it important that you write good comments on the ops you read and rate them accordingly. You'll receive feedback on your ops which can help the way you write. Overall: -------- I love the dooyoo website, it's helped me and it's rewarded me. If you keep it fun and enjoyable it will go on and do the same for you, simply try to get the miles and you'll be unpopular on the site and nobody will care to read anything you've written. Keep the ops good, relevant but essentially - JUST HAVE A GOOD TIME!

- 08/10/01 You did not mention the importance of reading and rating other peoples ops, if no one did it there would be no miles for any one! A very useful tip is to spell check ops before they get on dooyoo as silly typing errors can abound! |
