---------------
Introduction
---------------

Tim Henman has always had the potential to go very far in all the 4 major Grand slams, but has never really got too far in any of them, apart from Wimbledon, which has got to the semi-final three times in his career, and each time losing to the eventual winner, which have been Pete Sampras (Beaten at last!) and Goran Ivanisevic, who has just this week been sensationally handed a short term contract to play for one of Croatia’s top clubs, Hadjuk Split, and may well be playing in the champions League this season, anyway, enough of him, let’s concentrate on Tim, Britain’s best Male tennis at this moment in time.

Although his best serve is no-where near as good as Greg Rusedski’s, his game is about 4 times better. He has a strong accurate back hand and an excellent forehand an his serve and volley capability is outstanding. Although failing greatly in Wimbledon 2000 in the 4th round to Mark Philloupusis, he has improved a lot since then and I thought he was very unlucky not to get to the final this year. He was very unlucky to lose to the monstrous Ivanisevic serve. He actually broke his serve 3 times in a set in that semi final and won the set 6-Love, but rain stopped play twice and Tim was unable to keep to his game and defeat the once poor playing Goran. The 6’ 4” Giant Croat managed to regain his momentum he showed in the early part of the match and won the last 2 sets in a 5 set thriller, 7-6 and 6-3. Every British tennis fan felt gutted when he was knocked out on what was a tournament, which promised so much this time around. I thought that the match against Todd Martin was unbelievable because it was very nail biting and everyone thought he was going out. I thought he was quite lucky against Roger Federer, the man who beat the champion, but scraped through in just 4 sets, winning his sets a relativelt luck 7-5, 7-6 and 7-6! Tim Henman has always loved tenni
s since he was a young boy and was at a junior club since his very early days. Look where he is now!!

Other than tennis
--------------------
Tim is quite a tall man at 6’ 1” tall and was 26 years old at the submitted time of this opinion. He is brave enough to admit that he supports the ABYSMAL Oxford United, who have just been relegated to division three. He is married to a very pretty girl named Lucy, who he has been married to for 2 years.

The Future
-------------

I predict that Tim will win Wimbledon at what might be his prime age at 28, which will the year of Wimbledon 2003. He must also improve greatly in other Grand slam tournaments such as the French, American and Australian. He has only ever gained 3rd round status at the French open and is not a great fan of the slow clay court surface. He performs best on grass.

He also needs some improving on his first serve percentage and his second serve has to be faster for him to win much in his career. He has never won a grand slam tournament and has never even got to a grand slam final (strange for a British number 1), whereas, Greg Rusedski has got the US Open final, and lost. Tim has won 7 ATP titles, but that is definitely not enough for him to be classed as World Class, which I think he hasn’t at the moment, but at his best he a is still a very good player. We haven’t seen his best yet!

Good op, although I don't think Lucy is pretty!
