Hibs have had a good season , likely 3rd aplce but could get 2nd and a champions league spot. Have to beat livvy to get in cup final.
Their attendances hav been shocking though - considering there form. just aropund 9000-1000 for a team that have been challenging high this is terrible ( their rivals have had much more than this during a poor season) suggesting that as many have always thought ( or knew) that Hibs are Edinburghs lesser club when it comes to fanbase.
This season great form has come at some cost, it has let players put themselves in the shop window, to either get a better contract ( Sauzee) or so that there is a host of clubs wanting to sign them ,eg: Latapy who has just anounced that he will be leaving Easter road at the end of the 00/01 season.
Another face that may be likely to leave sometime in the near future is there manager Alex Mcleish, he has been touted for many jobs already, and some are saying he should take over from Alex Ferguson, so with managers in England being sacked all the time there will always be a demand ( he may have signed a contract recently -that just means Hibs will get compensation, or McLiesh will if he is ever sacked).
Hibs are now losing their best players Eg: miller, Latapy , only a couple of yrs ago Jackson. To solve this many french player have been brought in, they are quite good but they are past their best(which was not of such a superior quality) which cannot help the long term future of hibs.
