Martina HingisNewest Review: ... and she lets the pressure get to her. However things have not been all rosy for Martina Hingis. She started as an amazing young talent, winning her first major at the age of 16, but recently has gone off the boil. Martina Hingis shock loss to Spaniard Virginia Ruano Pascual in the first round of Wimbledon was the shock of the first day, however I firmly believe that she will be back in the future to add to her collection of five grand slam titles. As a sixteen year old she exploded on to the tennis scene and won grand slam after grand slam. But now with the emergence of the William sisters and with Davenport, Pearce and Seles already on the scene, Hingis finds it difficult to compete with the big servers. Her game isn’t based on power but on skill and flair. She has a great tennis brain and seems to play like an artist. It’s a pity that Hingis hasn’t got the strength of the Williams sister because I am sure with her range of shots she would ...
