Advantages: Great players
Disadvantages: failing to succed
I can't understand why holland are underachiving as in my view they have the best players in the world and have the potential to succed.With there squad they should have done better in World cup 98 and Euro 2000.
They have some great players which are listed below.
Goalkeepers

Edwin Van Sarr

A great keeper who has been around for a long time.He is an excellent keeper who has also captained his national side many times.He has been an outstanding figure in the Juventus team and has also tasted success at Ajax.He is a keeper who you want to be your last line of defence in the team.He has been 1st choice keeper for the dutch since before Euro 96.At the age of 32 he is nearing the end of his international career but can still do the job as many old age keepers have including David seaman and Peter schmichael and Edwin is as good as any of them.
Sander Westeveld

Everyone in england has heard of sander because of his excellent contrubution he has made at Liverpool which has helped them chace
a treble of trophies this season.He is quick of his line and can think very quickly.One day he will be the no 1 for the dutch.He has the potential to be 1 of the best if he can sort out his problem of going to collect crosses.
Ed der Hoey

Chelsea have made a big mistake in my view in droppering him.If you remember just last year there was talk of him being no 1 in euro 2000.He is a big tall keeper who is excellent in the air as well as a shot stopper.
Defenders

Just signed for Glasgow Rangers, i dont think he is as good as his brother but he is still one of the best dutch defenders and certainly one of the best in Scotland.He is a defender who nomatter what you throw at him he will do the job.
Ronald De Boer

Ronald of Barcelona is the dutch stuart pearce who
can get the players psyched up for the game.He is an excellent defender who is great in the air and scores his fare share of goals.
Jaap stam

This player needs no introduction, we all know who he is and the qualitys he has.He was signed by man utd from Psv a few years ago for £12 million and has got better each game he has played.He has excellent pace and can look after anyone.He is an automatic starter for the netherland and will be for a long time to come.
Michael Reizager

One of the fastest wing backs there is in the game.Michael plays for Barcelona and has got better in the games in the spanish league.He has great ball control and can go past players with ease.He also has an excellent shot which once he gets hold of it the keeper has no chance.
Bert Konterman

The tall Bert plays for glasgow rangers in scotland and has been a great player in the first season he has played for them.The defender filled in for jaap stam for a few games in euro 2000 when he got injured and done the job in hand.He has great pace and strenght something that every defender needs.
Andre Ooijer

The psv defender is one of the great prospects coming out of the netherland and has been hailed as the next Jaap Stam.He has great strenght and is a player that has a great concentrarion.He haardly puts a foot wrong and has already proved himself in the dutch league.
Arther Numan

The great wing back who has been around in the dutch national team for many years.he plays for glasgow and has a great foot.He can cross the ball and has the quality of tucking in to play centre back which many wing backs cannot do.

Edgar Davids

Words cannot describe this man.The nearest thing i can say is mindblowing.He has the vision to make a move out of nothing and can also finish a move.He always gets stuck in and always dominates the midfield.The juventus midfielder is always an automatic choice.You might remember him off the nike football advert where he has to steal the ball.he is easily reconised because of his colourful glasses which he wears during the game.

The ex arsenal man in one of the best wingers in europe because of the way he can run at players with his great pace.He has two great feet and can switch very easy.He is now at barcelona where he always gets his game.

What a player he has the most thunderrus shot ive ever seen.He plays for rangers and is early 20s he has the potential to become a regular for the dutch if he can just break into the team.

The barcelona player is a great professional who always gives 110% for club and country.He has great vision and is a solid midfilder who you will get nothing off.he is an anchor man who stays back and lets the other midfeilder roam.He also gets is fair share of goals.

Anyone whos seen him play will know what he can do.He is the master of ball control and is one of the hardest strikers to mark because of this.The goals he scores are always of the highest quality as are his performances.

Patrick is still only 25 which is hard to belive because he has been playing a
t the highest level for many years,This man has everything.His heading ability is great as well as his work on the floor.His power and strenght makes him unstoppable and when he gets on top of his game there is no stopping him as many spanish teams have found out to there disadvantages this year already.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

Every one knows who he is and knows what he can do.he has been one the top scorers in the premier league for both leeds and chelsea in between his time at Athletic Madrid.he has a great shot and has great pace.
Ruud van Neistelroy

He has just got his career kick started again after his horride injury which he endured when he was about to join man utd.
Looking at these players, why have they not succeded in there quest for a trophy.There stadium is excellent.
