Advantages: Might Encourage These People To Actually Work For A Living

Disadvantages: Might Not Be 'Understanding' Enough...

How many of us have walked innocently down our city streets, only to be confronted by a series of beggars, egar to take our cash?

It's a horrible exspearince - what can you possible do? Personally, I don't think people should have to meet such confrontation on the streets - it's not right and it's not fair.

So what's the solution? Well obviously we need to decrease the amount of beggars on our streets.

One idea may be to pass a law that allows our police force to arrest anyone caught begging and fine them on the spot. How many of the homeless would beg for 50p if they knew the stood a chance of being fined £500? Not many I suspect.

Another plan might be to demand that the beggars simply get jobs - that way, they can earn money for themselves instead of having to ask for it. I'm not suggesting we place the homeless in offices, but wouldn't you feel better about parting with your 20p if the beggar in question was shining your shoes or bushing your coat?

Why not round up the beggars and use them for exspeariments? Many areas of scientific research would be more then thankful for some spare bodies for human research - if these people are going to rot on the street otherwise, then why not use them for the good of others by testing on them?

Obviously, everyone who is homeless is homeless because they are lazy or addicted to drugs. If we keep kids at school longer, instead of allowing them to drop out at 16, we could keep them under control until the grow old enough to relise injecting heroin is silly and that running away from home is wrong. Complusory schooling under the age of thirty, unless to leave for a job, may be a good idea.

If none of these idea work, I suggest the government supply the beggars on our streets with free cups of teas and sandwhiches - that at least would encourage innotivation in their begging rountine, as they would have to think of something new t
o ask for. Aslo, driving around with a big hose and cans of Lynx would keep them clean and fresh-smelling, so that they are less offensive to those of us who aren't afraid of hard-work.

I'd nearly found myself falling for this one, and rising to your (not too obvious) bait.
Careful though, some nutter out there might just take you seriusly
