I watched a comedian do a sketch on beggars recently, and although a bit below the belt - he did have a point. He said he hated the way beggars laid in wait under cashpoints. He said more often or not he was overdrawn - and at times he'd really love to pick them up by the parker, show them how much he owed and shout "SEE THAT! AT LEAST YOU'VE ONLY GOT NOTHING!"
At the moment I am unemployed but looking for work. I can't sign on because my family set up an emergency fund in my name - which counts as potential income as far as the benefits are concerned - so i can't claim a penny until it's all spent. Just about every beggar out there is earning more than me right now. So, no I won't be donating anything to them for a while.

Besides, I once saw a beggar pack up for the day, nip round the corner and drive off in a quite reasonable car. You never can be too sure.
