Remember making Christmas decorations in school and at home as a kid? Well, why not make some for this Christmas? I don't know about you, but each and every Christmas we end up putting up the same decorations over and over. So last Christmas I decided to do something about it and, rather than buying new ones, I decided to make my own. One of those decorations was a Snowball Pom Pom. How is this different from a normal pom pom? Well, it's the wool that I used which made all the difference. To make your own Snowball Pom Pom, you'll need 2 matching pieces of cardboard cut into a doughnut shape (circle with a whole in the middle) of any size (mine was ...  Read the complete review

Do a few of ...  Read the complete review

There are 22 weeks to go until Christmas 2009, I know you are all thinking that it is miles away and far too early to start thinking about it but with money becoming harder to stretch it is worth planning for now. When I was young my Mum used to love decorating the house and she always came up with some marvellous ideas that were cheap and cheerful so I will share a few of them with you. ***Candle Holder.*** Find an old glass bottle, it could be a wine bottle or even a tomato sauce bottle, there are plenty of options, I try to use an unusual shaped one if possible to get a better effect, it is usually a brandy one coz that is my favourite ...  Read the complete review
