Advantages: You can win money, Enjoyable
Disadvantages: You can lose money
There are four main steps I recommend you should use when picking a horse to back. They are: 1) Visit sportinglife.com, and use the racing section of this web site as it is updated constantly and is very easy to use with all the information set out in a easy format making it easy to understand. 2) Visit racingpost.com, like sportinglife.com this will give all the latest information, but in my opinion this site is more difficult to understand at times. Also compare the price and stats between the horses 3) Bookmakers, they want to lose as less money as possible, so a 50/1 chance with really have no chance were as a 1/2 is almost certain to win. So what I am saying is that the bookmaker are normally the best judge of what horses will win and do well, regardless of what others says. As they have many years of experience with horses and this is there TRADE. 4) If you have a bad feeling about a horses but everyone is saying it is a cert, then don’t back it, so what if it wins, it is likely to have been short odds anyway and you always have the money for the next race. To summarise bet with your head and only bet what you can afford to lose, and try betting e/w (each way) as if the horse doesn’t win will you still collect if it is placed. And visit the web site mention above, as this will help you make your decision, and always obey number 4, as this is the most important!!

Boonoiy - 27/02/02 I'm just like BizzyB - pick the one with a decent sounding name and hope for the best, failing that I'd be just as well to get a racing form and a dart board and pick at total random, never get any luck anyway.
I'll stick to the dogs :)
Good op - Boon. |
