Advantages: More frugal, enjoying the simple things Disadvantages: Less opportunity to go out with friends Unfortunately the credit crunch has happened just as my other half decided to quit his full time job in favour of being partly self employed and working part time in Gamestation! This has meant that he has not had as much custom as he would have liked - he is self-employed as a guitar, piano and magic tutor. We have become more creative when it comes to making money and food last longer. We both have relatively low cost hobbies - I do a lot of acting and my partner does a lot of music and magic. These both provide us with something to do and opportunities to socialise. We have also started think about ways to make extra money from our various skills and really appreciate it when we allow ourselves the occasional treat like a takeaway or bottle of wine. Summary: Although it is tricky balancing the funds, we are getting by |
