Advantages: It will improve your overall grade
Disadvantages: None
It's a pain. As if you haven't got enough on your plate with worring about revision and exams, you're loaded with ten tonnes of coureswork. But if you get on top of it, it isn't too much of a problem. And remember, it's quite a big percentage of your final grade, so don't just leave it to the last minute. Start off with research. Internet, the library, where ever you can think of that might help, make sure you go. My sister had to do A level history coursework on something to do with the 2nd world war in Guernsey, and we ended up spending our summer holiday there so that she could do some interviews etc. It really paid off though, because she got an A for it. Next plan it out. If it's been well thought out, the examiners will be impressed and you'll know where you're up to. Finally make sure it's well presented. You can be sure that better presentation means better marks. Type it up on a computer if you have one and hand it in in a presentation folder. They only cost a couple of pounds and will be available at most stationary shops.
