This particular one listed moving house as the fifth most stressful thing a person can experience, behind the death of a child, death of a partner, death of a close family member and being sent to prison; it outranked the death of a close friend, getting divorced, being fired or having your business fail. MOVING HOUSE As someone who has moved house numerous times I have become something of an expert on house moving. It is never easy and always exhausting, but here are some tips I hope will help you. I am not going to discuss solicitors and estate agents etc here, because they are a minefield so I will leave this out of the review and concentrate on the actual moving process. When I was younger I used to sit there thinking about what it would be like to move house and imagine it to be this wonderful experience where vans come and take your neatly packed boxes and then take them to your new home and then magically it is all done. Last week though my lovely dreams of this were shattered as I got my move in date for the Saturday and realised that boxes were not going to pack themselves and also that you had to unpack them at the other side.
