I think the new system of immigration control that is being proposed is a well over due control that is badly needed, the system i'm talking about is the one currently used in Australia, in which points are awarded to potential immigrants, and a point quota must be fuffiled to gain entry to the country. The points are awarded on the skills and potential use of that person in society. However this counrty will never be able to control immigration as we are still part of the EU, and EU legislation means that no real controls can be put on immigration, and leaving the EU would be a problem now as 75% of our trade comes through the EU, and so with the current economic problems it would be an unwise move to leave the EU.

This problem means that we can not control immigration which i don't personally believe to be the biggest problem in this country, crime and the economy being the more prevalnt issues i think. Immigration has not been the huge problem which the media has portrayed it to be as, many skilled workers and much needed labourers has been part of the influx into this country, many careworks and low paid labourers are immigrants and these people are intagrel in the smooth running of our society. Infact many of polands best and most skilled owrkers have left Poland that they are now offering rewards for those who return Altough i must admit not all the immigrants are useful, and true some are a drain on society and many can be behind crimes, but this does not mean we need condem all immigrants, i think we can still be proud of our country and think about why so many immmigrants chooose England to immigrate to......
