How pleasent to see the guv'nor's career falling down yet a another rung into obscurity. As a player at United and Inter Milan, he was a quality midfielder. He had resonable pace, incredible fitness, emmense determination and hard tackles. He also had an ego problem, which caused his departure from Old Trafford when he thought he was bigger than the club, but this was somethign that came with the player. He was instrumental in the developement of the United side in the early 90's, and the emergence of Scholes and Butt as quality midfielders. He was a fixture in the England midfiel, playing the holding role better than anyone else.

However, the guv'noe has no longer got it. He has lost his pcae, is no longer able to run the length of the pitch regularly, and his tackling has become less of the force it used to be. After being rejected by the scousers (apparently Phil Thomas went up to him one day, took a championship medal form his pocket,, and told him "this is what playing for liverpool football club is about. Ince proceded to take a cheque book from his pocket and said, "no, this is what playing for LFC is about" ... not suprosingly, he was soon sold) he was brought to lead an avergae Boro side. He should no longer be in the England team, but with the only replacements being Wise and Batty, he has held onto his place. Luckily, Gerread should soon take his place.
