Internet...has to be the best invention EVER! (Internet Surfing)

Advantages: You can find anything online...as long as you look hard enough!

Disadvantages: Pop Ups and viruses!!

Ok, I love the internet, its one of my favourite passtimes to sit with my laptop on my knee, nice cup of tea beside me, some music playing surfing the net. Never really for anthing inparticular, just put it on and have a search, from emails, networking on facebook, searching for jobs, reviewing things I like, mystery shopping, opionion sites, shopping and just general google searches!!! I don't think I could cope without my internet, I would be so upset!!! I love the net, I have grown up with it, and can't even imagine a time without the net!! I mean where did people do all the simple things like finding directions from your house to a new job, without going trawling through maps which are just confusing.....lol!
The only problem I have with the internet....sometimes it can be SO annoyinh....your trying to find something and when your looking for smething inparticular you can never seem to find it!!!
Thats the least of the problems.........I hate the viruses which come through the net, and all the horrible junk mail you get on your email account cause you forgot to tick the little box saying you didnt want your email address been sent to third parties.
I hate pop ups too, which don't seem as bad as they used to be!! On my old computer, as soon as you went on the internet you got 5 pop ups already, everytime you went to any website you got these stupid pop ups telling you things you really don't want to know....!!! But since getting a laptop, pop ups seem toi be a thing of the past (touch wood!!!).
Other than that I love the net!!! You can find out so much!!! :-D You feel sick, you type in your symptoms into NHS direct and woo you save yourself a trip to the doctors!! You want a DVD you go to amazon, you save yourself a long trip around town trying to find a DVD of a film 10 years old which hardly anywhere stocks anymore, yiou also save yourself money!!
The net really has made life so much easier and enabled us to save so much money!!! Either on car/home insurance, travel costs, shopping costs everything!!! :-D
