Eddie at times is a person who says what he thinks. He can be at times very nice but also he can very Controversial. He love parties and sometimes doesn't realize what normal people go through in life to work and get money to put food on the table, that was said by his own sister! How can anyone not be drawn to this great character who has the personality that epitomises Formula 1 racing car drivers. This flamboyant playboy leads the true life of a carefree millionaire, living in Monte Carlo and owning a yacht, a helicopter and everything else that you would expect an F1 driver to have. His cheeky Irish nature just attracts people to him and his parties are renown the world over. He is also a great racing driver. The Formula 1 paddock generally seems to love him or hate him and he has made enemies easily, but because he says he doesn't care many others admire his honest attitude. His single-seater career began in Irish Formula Ford and after becoming the British Formula Ford Champion and Formula Ford festival winner in 1987, Irvine breezed ... Read the complete review

Eddie has been a favourite of mine ever since I saw him cause a 3 car pile up not long into his formula one career. Unlike most of the corporate clowns in formula one Eddie Irvine is one of lifes true characters. Ok, so he might be a true international playboy who changes his supermodel girlfriends as often as his clothes but he never hides the fact. Eddie enjoys the trappings that his status brings and isn't afraid to enjoy them. Unfortunatly all these outside distractions do mean that Eddie will never fulfill his potential but at least the remainder of his career will be an interesting one. If only a few more drivers were as reckless and as free with there opinions ... Read the complete review
