Advantages: None

Disadvantages: We are in danger of losing our freedoms, religion, and heritage, if not our very lives.

We have a major problem here in the European Union that has existed for at least a decade or more, and which is not being adequately addressed either by the European Parliament in Brussels or by individual governments within the European Union.

What's the problem? Put simply it is the failure of the EU and individual Western countries to recognise the inescapable fact that radical Islam (by that I mean the Islamic Fundamentalists) have a far reaching plan to make Europe a part of the Islamic world.

You think that sounds far fetched? Well, let's consider for a moment. First off these Islamic Fundamentalists have VERY long memories, and don't consider their recent skirmishes with the West over the last couple of decades in isolation, but part of a greater struggle (or war if you prefer) that goes back almost a 1,000 years to the time of the Crusades! (Perhaps President Bush had the right of it when he talked about a "crusade" against terrorism?)

It is not just the Western nations they are targeting for conversion to Islam. They also have ambitious plans for the whole of North Africa, the entire Arab world, and most of continental Asia and Indonesia. You see, as far as these new "Islamic Nazis" are concerned (and I use the word Nazi deliberately as that's exactly what they are) there is only one true religion, and they consider it their sacred duty to convert the whole world to radical Islam, either voluntarily or else by use of force and coercion.

With the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in Iraq and the Taliban in Afghanistan the most radical Islamic country is now probably Iran, where the mad mullahs now hold sway and give succour and support to the ideas of the lunatic fringe Islamists. Iran revels in the problems of the West in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, and actively supplies and supports the Islamic Nazis who are constantly fermenting trouble and waging a war of terror in these countries to stop the development of democracy. A similar campaign of terror is being waged in Pakistan, another country that has traditionally been friendly towards Western democracies.

Who are these Islamist Nazis who are planning our overthrow and downfall? We all know them; they are the likes of Al Qaeda and all their satellite Islamic Nazi organisations. The new "Führer" is, of course, the arch-terrorist himself, the new self-proclaimed leader of Islam, Osama bin Laden. But there are plenty of others equally committed to causing total mayhem, death and destruction in the West in the name of their God Allah and their totally warped view of Islam.

Innocent Muslims cannot be excused all blame for the current state of affairs! Rather as many Germans in the late 1920's and 1930's did nothing to actively oppose the rise to power of Hitler and the Nazi Party, many Muslims today sit on their hands and do nothing to oppose the many atrocities perpetuated by the new Islamic Nazis in the name of their religion. (It's the not MY problem syndrome!) By doing so they give their mute approval to the terrorists' actions.

So what do most of the Western nations do in the face of this dire threat to their freedom and indeed, their very existence?
They continue to welcome hundreds of thousands of Muslims from all over the world into Europe with open arms, thus giving cover and succour to the terrorists who can operate within these communities with almost total impunity. (Hide in plain sight!) Many of these Muslims make no effort whatsoever to integrate into Western society, instead setting up Muslim "ghettos" within our cities.

And what happens when someone dares to point out the total folly of allowing this to happen?
Witness the fate of the Pakistani-born Bishop of Rochester, Dr. Michael Nazir-Ali, who recently spoke out against allowing the emergence of Islamic-only areas in Britain, where non-Muslims are effectively barred from entering, and where Sharia law effectively prevails. Dr. Nazir-Ali is now under 24-hour armed guard for his own safety!!

Then you have the recent imbecilic and totally naïve utterances from the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, who reckoned that we in the West will have to consider allowing Sharia law to prevail over national law for Muslims living in our midst. I only have one thing to say to such a idiotic suggestion. "On your bike Archbishop!"

Or the case of the Netherlands' politician Geert Wilder who has plans to show a film denouncing the Koran. The Dutch Government have been warned by the Islamic Nazis in charge of Iran that if he is allowed to proceed then Dutch troops serving with the United Nations in Afghanistan will be deliberately targeted by all Muslims. So seriously do the Dutch Government take this threat from Iran they are planning to withdraw their citizens from around half a dozen different Islamic countries where they fear their lives would be under threat!

Let's look at just a couple of the outrages perpetuated in the name of Islam in war-torn Iraq in recent times. It seems to be a favourite pastime of many liberal lefties in the UK and European press to constantly decry our armed forces in Iraq, (and those of our allies the USA) while at the same time virtually ignoring the daily atrocities that are carried out by the Islamic Nazis to the glory of Allah. Take the suicide bomber who blew up scores of teenage Shia girls (fellow Muslims) for no better reason than they were students. Or the use of two Down's Syndrome girls who were used as unwitting suicide bombers in Baghdad's pet market. (The remotely detonated bombs they carried killed a total of 74 people)

You'd think that in the face of such savagery and total disregard for human life and dignity that the nations of the European Union would be clambering at the bit to supply troops to help in the war effort against the Islamic Nazis. But no, the facts state otherwise. NATO was given a mandate by the United Nations to take on the terrorist government of the Taliban in Afghanistan. But when NATO turned to their European members for their support and backing, what did they get instead? Negativity and procrastination, that's what!
The vast bulk of the troops in Afghanistan (and Iraq) are composed of the very same alliance that freed Europe from the last Nazi threat in World War Two; the USA, the UK, and Canada. Look at the recent figures of European troops deployed in the Afghan theatre.

Poland - 1200 troops
Holland - 1500 troops
Germany - 3400 troops
Italy - No troops
France - No troops
Portugal - No troops
Spain - No troops
Norway - No troops

In my opinion this is absolutely pathetic. To make matters worse both Canada and Holland, both staunch supporters of the war against the Islamic Nazis, have now openly stated that unless other NATO countries start to pull their weight they will be pulling their own troops out soon.

We here in the Republic of Ireland cannot shirk our share of the blame for the current state of affairs. It has been shown that much of the financing for 9/11 passed through Irish bank accounts at some point or another, and that many known Islamic terrorists live here openly without fear of detention by our security services or police. We cling on stubbornly to our much vaunted "neutrality", which in today's climate is just an easy cop out from taking on our fair share of responsibility in the fight against Islamic terrorism.

Its way, way past time that we in the West, and here in the European Union, woke up to the Islamic Nazi threat to our very existence and survival, and began to take active measures to protect our heritage and freedoms.

No more pandering to Islamic sensibilities for one thing, and no more censoring of our media when it comes to publishing or talking about subjects which some Muslims might just take exception to.

Recognise once and for all that we are in a war for our very survival, and get behind our troops on the ground in the heartlands of Islamic Nazism such as Iraq and Afghanistan.

No more pandering to the Islamists in power in Saudi Arabia simply because they hold the keys to the largest oil wells in the world. Instead tell them how it is, and demand their support if they expect to continue to enjoy the patronage and vast financial benefits they accrue from their association with the western democracies.

No more pandering to the Islamic Nazis in power in Iran, who laugh in our faces as they continue unabated in their quest to obtain nuclear weapons to use against Israel and the West.

The time for talking and pandering is long past. It's now time for decisive action.
