Having owned Jaguars for the last four years, I've come to know the Jaguar dealer network fairly well. The first time I walked in to one I thought I would be treated with a snooty glance - I'm not your average Jaguar owner - but how wrong I was. The staff were friendly and eager to help right from the Sales team to the receptionists and the service crew. Cups of tea all round. Very nice. While you wait to pick up your "Cat" after its been in for its yearly service (I only do about 10,000 miles a year, which fits in with the service intervals quite nicely) the staff will engage you in conversation. They're real people. And you're made to feel special. My car comes back cleaned and looking like new of course. The surroundings (much like most car dealers) are geared towards the sales side of the dealerships, but the parts and customer service areas are important aspects too. The sales guys, whilst obviously eager for you to part with your hard-earned cash, were not pushy. I don't like pushy sales people and have experienced the like in other showrooms - it just makes you want to walk straight out again. So I had no hesitation in buying another Jaguar when the time came. And again, a loan car to try for a day and help with options, explanations and questions. And they even threw in a trip round the Browns Lane plant in Coventry with lunch included! Can't say fairer than that! Of course there's no escaping the fact that Jaguars are not cheap. But I think they are value for money, and certainly reliable. Of course this means I don't HAVE to visit the dealers that often...
