Jodi Picoult is a 42 year old, mother of 3, married to Tim Van Leer, who lives in Hanover, New Hampshire, US and has racked up a huge 15 bestselling novels since her first, Songs of the Humpback Whale in 1992 at the age of 25. Picoult studied creative writing at Princeton, then after a series of careers, moved on to study a Masters in Education at Harvard. She has won various literary and fiction awards, including the Waterstones Author of the Year. 3 of her works have been made in to TV films, and one, most famously, has been made in to a film 'My Sister's Keeper'.
