JuJitsuNewest Review: ... want to get fit, wishing that 30 pounds will just fall off them one day, but as we all know this is not the case. I believed this theory one day before going to my local Leisure centre and trying out some good quality martial arts. On arrival I was taught breakfalling and basic Dojo Etiquette(basically learning how to get thrown and rules). Then after learning them somewhat terribly, the ... more |

The form of Jujitsu I study is 2 forms of jujitsu formed into one, Kempo jujitsu and Traditional Japanese Jujitsu, I am currently attaining a Blue Adult belt at it and after many years of going I am certainly not disappointed with it. The syllabus/grades created by Sensei Graham Tomaszko 5th Degree black belt and Assistant Black belt's, all moves are English so not the traditional Jujitsu. Nowadays many people want to get fit, wishing that 30 pounds will just fall off them one day, but as we all know this is not the case. Goshin Jitsu is a form of Martial arts which both my children train in, they attend clubs in the Great Yarmouth area but from research on the Internet many clubs are situated throughout the UK and worldwide. Goshin Jitsu is self defence based using traditional Ju Jitsu and Judo Teachings. Everything that is taught throughout training has a meaning and a purpose which is mostly discovered in the later belt stages. This form of martial arts comes from Japan which is reflected in some of the techniques names. BJJ or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is also known as the gentle art because it works around technique and leverage to use properly. This unlike many sports doesn't require a lot of strength and fitness for you to succeed however it does require a good mind and the ability to think under pressure. BJJ is a grappling art and since the introduction of Ultimate Fighting style events it has gained more notoriety through many people seeing some of the worlds greatest all round fighters use it to great effect. Statistically something like 98% of all real fights end up on the ground at some point and this is where BBJ is implemented most of the time. This is a full ... Read the complete review

I am currently a Brown belt in Ju Jitsu and have found it to be a fantastic way to keep fit and also a way to give me a feeling of self confidence. I was initially put off starting studying Martial Arts with thoughts of having to get my leg up high enough to kick people in the head. This idea was ingrained in my through watching Bruce Lee movies and many more of the same genre.Luckily a friend pursuaded my to tag along one night and see what Ju Jitsu was all about. For me,this is the ultimate form of self defence. No flashy moves and kicks just straight forward blocking and throwing/punching (with the odd low kick thrown in for good measure)All of your attackers ... Ju-jitsu is not only a very useful skill or technique to know it can vastly improve your physical condition. I have been going for a year once or twice a week and my sensai is 3 times world champion. I have noticed improvements in strength, stamina, balance and reactions. It is fun to do and a good way to relieve stress. Ju-jitsu teaches you how to get out of some of the toughest situations. Bad points are that it can take a very long time to go through the belt system (a minimum of 4 months between each grading. Because of the large gaps in grading times you may end up going over the same moves again and again and... At a grading you must perform in front of a ... Read the complete review
