Advantages: Stunning silky smooth skills, great footballer and sportsman
Disadvantages: Almost never played again, I'm glad, as everyone should be, that he is playing again!
Nwankwo Kanu is one of the greatest sports personalities in modern football I feel, as well as being one of the most talented players in the world. A few years ago it looked doubtful if he would ever be able to play football again, but due to a smooth heart operation he has managed to regain fitness and is now playing first team football for the best team, in my view, in England. Born in Nigeria, Kanu has won many African Footballer of the year awards, and has lead his team to the Olympic finals in 1996, and at the age of only 19! Of course, Brazil was no match for the mighty Nigerians who won 4-3 if I remember correctly! Kanu played an influential role in this superb and quite unexpected victory, and his famous celebrations, fantastic as they were (although very strange), are used today by many youth team players whenever they score a goal! Kanu has scored some superb goals for Inter Milan and Arsenal, and should help the Gunners to their second Premiership title this season. He is a true sportsman who rarely gets booked, and who is admired throughout the world by millions. He possesses incredible skill, and the determination to carry on fighting for fitness after much worry over his health etc. Nwankwo has also done a lot of charity work for the people of his home country and I believe he should be commended for this. I support Arsenal, I always have done as they are a superb football club with great ambition, and I believe that Kanu will play a pivotal role this year. Thanks for reading my first ever opinion!
