Advantages: great fun, good menu

Disadvantages: cost, time

TGI Fridays are an american bistro based all over the country. Originally we had to travel all the way into the centre of London but now they are popping up everywhere.

When we were younger and childless we used to go a lot at weekends, more for the cocktails than for the food. (Food is nice though).

Our the best one near us is at Bluewater shopping centre. We have been there a couple of times with our daughter. She had the best time. As she walked in she was approached by a guy with a funny hat and a coat smothered in badges. He handed her a nice big red balloon and that was it she was happy for the rest of our stay. Then she was given a special menu just for her that she could colour in. The crayons given were a proper cup full of a range of colours. This is important to her, the amount of times we have been out and she has been given two colours and have had to put up with her complaints. LOL

Anyway, the menu. It was a great range of nutritous snacks. We had to choose a main meal then she had a choice of two side orders.
Choice of mains- Hot dog, spaghetti bol, pitta wig-wams (filled with cheese and ham), breast of chicken, another pasta meal and pizza.
The side orders consisted of- spaghetti hoops, beans, chips, smiley faces and apple slices.
The meal cost £3.95 and the included the above, a drink, ice cream and a toy.

Another great thing about this place is that the serve oganics baby jars (for the people who would use them). The drinks are one price for as many fill ups as you like. This does not apply to the delicious childrens cocktails though.

My daughters favourite is the wigwams with beans and apple. She always polishes it off. The mess she makes all over the table and the floor and they never complain. If I go to pick it up they always insist I leave it for them to do, which does make me feel a bit guilty.

My little cherub is better behaved here then in any other place to e
at and I am sure it is because they made allowences for her and catered for her every need.
She still made a complete mess, flicked food accross the room and visited the loo four times.

Birthdays are also good here for older kids, but you would need to ask for details as I do not know very much about them.

The only disadvantage is that it does take a very long time to get served so if you have a very hungry child then do not take them here. we have had to wait up to 45 minutes for food to arrive. My biggest tip for you is to order the children's food at the same time as your drinks and it comes up quicker. This is also useful if the mums and dads are having starters otherwise you have dribbling kids while you tuck in to loaded potato skins. mmmmnnnn!

Why is it in the wrong cat. It is about kids and restaurants. I have written an op on the restaurant itself but this op is the reasons it is so good for children. Maybe I have the wrong end of the stick or something.
