Daily shuttle flights from LA and San Francisco operated by United and American airlines. A few hours drive south from San Francisco. Laguna Seca (or Monterrey) is based in California and is currently used by both the CART series and World Superbikes amongst others. It was once used by the FIM Motorbikes series some years ago but they have dropped ut because its too dangerous. And this is the reason - the Corkscrew. From start finish, the race rises until it gets the top of the hill. It then rapidly drops down hill sweeping to the left and right - giving a corkscrew effect. It is scary, dangerous - but awesome ! Laguna Seca ranks up there amongst Spa as a real racers track. There is nothing else like it and is miles away from the current generation of sterile tracks like the ...
