Not many Newcastle fans thought they would see another left winger as good as Daveed Ginola, but it has taken 5 seasons and a lot of failed replacements, but it has finally happened. It should not be underestimated the job Bobby and the Chairman did getting Robert to Tyneside, it was reported in the summer that Beyern Munich and Valencia wanted him at one point, and when I heard that, I did not fancy our chances, but give Bobby and Freddy Shephard there do's, the long pursuit was worthwhile. Frenchman Laurent Robert seems like the player most likely to propel Newcastle United into the top 5 of the Premiership. He is making the midfield a powerful section of the field for us, while proving he can compete as a striker, and threatening David Beckham?s prowess on free kicks.
