McAllister's gone.....who's next? (Leeds United A.F.C.)

Advantages: none, he'll be missed Disadvantages: McAllister's status as a legend at Elland Road will have been dented
I must say I was suprised this morning when i heard that Leeds United had parted company with manager and former player Gary McAllister. He took over in January of last year after Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet left for Newcastle and Tottenham respectively and guided the club to the play-off finals. This season hasn't gone that great for Leeds, currently in ninth and with five successive defeats the owners decided to get rid of McAllister; I feel he should have been given more time. McAllister was one of Leeds best ever players and to sack him as manager when he had a win percentage of fifty percent is extremely harsh. I just hope it doesn't dent his legendary status at Elland Road. I also think that many people underestimate League One, especially this season, there are about eight or nine teams all capable of promotion. Summary: who will they get next? |
