Disadvantages: Division 1, Two red cards, No goals

Ah, at last the football season has started. Went to watch Leicester City V West Ham United today and thought, hey, I could do a match report on the game. So here it is?

?..Leicester City and West Ham United kicked off their Coca-Cola Championship today at the Walkers stadium, home of Leicester City FC. The game ended as a 0-0 draw, marred by 2 red cards, 1 for each team. Leicester City started the game brightly using the wings to attack, but the crosses where either headed clear or claimed by the West Ham United keeper. West Ham tried the same but it they where again cleared or Caught. Around 18 Minutes in Leicester City?s French Midfielder Lillian Nalis saw his cracking shot from the edge of the area come of the Crossbar and into play. The game was turning out to an end-to-end game until a brawl saw Dion Dublin Sent off on his Leicester City Debut. The referee also booked ex. Fulham Defender Rufus Brevett for his part to play in the alleged head-butting. This sent the Leicester fans into a crazy mood after the Referee only booked Rufus Brevett. The sting was taken out of the game because of the incident, West Ham Having all the possession. They failed to convert their chances and at the half-time interval the two teams went in level.
Leicester City came back into the game more in the second half, David Connolly making Chances out of nothing. Then, West Ham United broke clear of the Leicester Defence. Ex Nottingham Forest Boy Marlon Harewood ran into the area and was fairly barged off the ball in the Penalty area after trying to win a penalty. He eventually got back up with the help of the West Ham Physio after lying on the floor for 3 minutes supposedly ?injured?. Then, West Ham United broke again with Marlon Harewood who was one-on-one. His shot was wonderfully saved by Leicester?s Goalkeeper Ian Walker, who then dived at the feet of the incoming Matthew Etherington. The double action save left the Leicester Fans calling his name for England?s No.1
jersey. Sven Goran Eriksson, take note. With 5 minutes to go, Rufus Brevett added his name into the Referee?s list of Red cards after his second Yellow Card. In injury time Leicester City welcomed new signings Martin Keown and Nathan Blake onto the field. The game ended 0-0 after an hour and a half of madness.

I'll never get round to this absolutely stupid way of calling Division One the Championship. We've only just got used to calling the first league the Premiership, for cryin' out loud!

I have to agree with what has been said. To write a report on a certain team 'in general' and then post a single match report is not what is being asked.

There really isn't a suitable Category for individual match reports.

Dooyoo allowed them for the World Cup a couple of years back, but other than that they're not really encouraged.

I have exactly the same problem when I want to post a report on a golf tournament.

All the best.

Ken
