Disadvantages: none

Livingston Fc never used to exist football supporters either travelled to Edinburgh or Glasgow. At this time in Edinburgh a small team was struggling for survival, their name Meadowbank Thistle. Then in the 1994-1995 season Meadowbank Thistle club Secretary Bill Hunter had a meeting with Livingston Development Corporation, an of the cuff comment that they should move to Livingston proved to be the beginning for Livingston FC.

The die hard Meadowbank Thistle supporters did not support the move but it went ahead anyway. As such Livingston FC was born and a new 4000 all seater stadium was in the process of being built. The ground is in a key location next to Almondvale shopping centre, the granary (to provide pre and post match drinks) and st johns hospital.

In November 1995 the first football game was played in Livingston with a sell out crowd to watch Livingston take on East Stirlingshire.

In the first season as Livingston they won promotion to the second division.

Livigston are now in the Premier Division which is a remarkabel achievement for a club that is only six years old. This is due to the dedication of the chairman Dominac Keane, the manager and the players.

The fround has been expanded time and time again over the seasons and now has twenty thousand seats, corporate facilities, nightclub, offices and resturants.

The nitespot which is situated of the end nearest the carpark has been very popular since it opened and has been a very dependable source of income for the club.

Livingston FC supporters have grown in massive numbers and remains a family club.

All ready just a view games into the new season Livingston have been praised for their attacking football and their willingness to take on teams home and away.
