Advantages: I got a shiny new Alfa Romeo.
Disadvantages: I did not win the lottery.
I have no idea who came up with these questions nor why the hell I am answering them but here goes!
1) What did you do in 2008 that you have not done before?
I so wanted to be able to write something wild and entertaining here like that I had, had sexual conquests with a ladyboy in Bangkok or I had swam with great white sharks or even that I had met the queen but the truth is I never really did anything out of the ordinary in 2008 so I will have to make up for that this year.
2) Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes the lady sitting beside me on the bus... Oh I see you mean close to me as in family or friends, well no actually it was a quiet year for new babies, oh and the bit about the lady on the bus giving birth next to me was just a joke, such a thing never happened!!
3) Did anyone close to you die?
I have to take this question on a serious note because I did lose someone in 2008, my uncle who I was very close to died after years of surviving as Scotland's first full heart transplant patient. He will be sadly missed.
4) What countries did you visit?
Well as I am from Scotland and I went to Blackpool I can therefore say I visited England even though some would say it is all the UK. I also visited Spain, Italy and France and I had planned to visit the north pole to see Santa but someone cruelly broke it to me days before the trip that Santa was not real and that it is my mum and dad who buy me all those Crimbo pressies (I am still recovering from the shock)!
5) What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008
The winning lottery ticket one week would be nice but on a more likely note I would settle for more clients to use my photography services and make me a rich man, and a few more crowns from Dooyoo would be nice, How dare they not crown all my reviews. LOL!!
6) What days will you remember from 2008
All of them I hope, I am not getting Alzheimer's just yet thank you very much!
7) Did you suffer any Illness or injury
I had a really bad sickness bug that floored me for a few days but I do not really class that as illness, when I see what some people have to go through in their life. That's two sensible answers you have had now I would not expect too many more if I were you!
8) What was the best thing that you bought
The best thing I bought was probably the copy of FHM that had the delicious Katy Perry in it but that aside I guess it would have to be my new and much loved 2.5 V6 Alfa Romeo.
9) Who's Behaviour has Merited Celebration
What has it come to when we celebrate people's behaviour?? Even if we should celebrate fantastic behaviour I am not sure there has been much to celebrate by anyone in 2008.
10) Who's behaviour made you appalled and depressed
Whoever is responsible for the collapse of the much loved Woolworths chain. I can remember going to Woolies with my gran and my mum and then going there with my kids as a father and now it is gone. 2009 will be a strange Christmas with not one thing, not even a bit wrapping paper having come from Woolworths (how sad)!
11) Where did most of your money go?
Drinking, Prostitutes and gambling..... would make for interesting reading but I have to be honest and say that most of my money went on my family, home improvements, my Alfa Romeo and holidays.
12) What did you get really excited about
I got quite excited about going to France as I had not been before but I have to say the excitement was misplaced and I also got quite excited about going to see my son in his first speaking role in a school play (no that is not sad)!!
13) What song will you remember from 2008
I will remember two songs one for being brilliant and one for being the most over played song ever, the brilliant one being Leona Lewis doing the classic snow patrol track Run and the annoying one being Katy Perry doing I kissed a girl.
14) Compared to this time last year ....
I have written a few more reviews, earned a few more quid, drank a few more pints, put on a few more pounds..... Oh and did I mention I had bought a shiny new Alfa Romeo??
15) What do you wish you had done more of
Girls!! In case my fiancée should read this that is a joke!!
16) What do you wish you had done less of
Working but then I would have less money, I would have been on less holidays and I would not have my shiny new Alfa Romeo!
17) What was your favourite television programme
I really do not watch much TV but if pushed I would say that it was probably the Bill, I have been enjoying that programme for years now. (that is another sensible answer for you)!
18) Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate last year
I hate a few people now that I did not hate last year, such as whoever is responsible for the closure of Woolworths, the guy on the sponsored ads that are shown before and during the Bill and myself for getting involved in doing this bloody review.
19) what has been the best book of 2008
I have read a good few books in 2008 and although it will not be everyone's idea of a great book, I read a book called The moment it clicks, which is a photography book written by Joe McNally and as a pro photographer myself I can tell you that for anyone wanting in on the secrets us pro`s use to get great images this book is tops!
20) What was your greatest musical discovery
I do not think I made a musical discovery in 2008 although I do really enjoy when my 18 month old daughter sings the bob the builder song, it is so very cute!
21) What did you really want to get in 2008
A winning lottery ticket, a date with Katy Perry, a lap dance from the girl that plays Stacy Slater in Eastenders and a new Alpha Romeo. Did I tell you that I got the Alfa Romeo??
22) What did you want but didn't get
All the above but with the exception of the shiny new Alfa Romeo.
23) What was your favourite film of the year
So far my top film released in 2008 has to be Mirrors but I have a good few 2008 films still to watch so that may change.
24) What did you do on your birthday and how old were you.
I was one year older than I was in 2007 and one year younger than I will be in 2009 and I did bugger all!
25) Who was the best person you met
I met a guy called Craig Sunny who will not be familiar to most probably not to anyone but he is a great amateur photographer who has travelled the world taking some of the most amazing photos all at his own expense and he is a real inspiration to me but I also met the page three girl Peta Todd on a photo shoot and she's got great tits!
26) Tell us a valuable lesson that you learned in 2008?
I am too long in the tooth to be learning new lessons I think, well I certainly cannot think of anything I learned in 2008 anyway, Mind you so far in 2009 I have learned not to get involved in writing crazy reviews like this one!
Hope I have entertained at least someone with this review because it has taken me ages to get through it!!
Thanks for reading.
Summary: A light hearted review that may or may not have entertained!
