Maintaining a Healthy Diet Reviews

Newest Review: ... is causing more eating disorders and will do in the future. If people try to tell children from the age of 4 and 5 that they shouldn't eat certain foods then problems are going to arise. When my daughter was in reception, they had a healthy eating thing going on and were told certain things were healthy and others weren't and things like (I agree) cereal bars have a lot of sugar in so shouldn't be eaten unless at a meal time. Then children were saying to other children that were eating a cereal bar at snack time or a chocolate bar at dinner 'awh you shouldn't be eating that it's not healthy'. What a load of crap; ok some parents might ne... more

I have just come across this category and thought I would try and write something - the category is maintaining a healthy diet so that doesn't mean being healthy for a week or a month it's long term. I have always believed everything is healthy in moderation and try to bring my children up believing this. So it really annoys me that in schools they teach about healthy eating and say things like chips are not healthy apples are. They are wrong both are healthy as long as you don't eat just chips or apples. Apples are healthy most people say - but they are not healthy if that is all you eat. Everybody or a good percentage know you put food in your ... Read the complete review

I have changed my eating habits over the summer and I feel a lot healthier for it. I still aim to eat a healthy balanced diet however I now eat a lot less red meat in my diet and especially after 7.00pm as I avoid red meat then. Since making the changes I have not only lost weight but my skin is a lot better and I have loads more energy. I have not cut out red meat entirely however I now only eat it once a week at most in the evenings, I tend to eat chicken at lunch time if I have any meat at all them and now I eat a lot more vegetarian meals in my diet. That is not to say that I have become vegetarian as I still eat fish and in fact it is fish consumption ... Read the complete review

~*~ Maintaining a Healthy Diet ~*~ I was just about to write a review on my 'Top 10' something-or-other to celebrate my 100th review when I stumbled across this category. It is a topic that I am really interested in and features in a lot of my reviews so I thought that this instead was more appropriate! I used to eat absolutely terribly. I was one of those people that didn't even think about food until I was about to pass out from hunger, and then would grab something quick and easy, usually a Mars bar or a couple of slices of toast. I couldn't believe how much changed when I changed my diet. I used to constantly feel tired - drained, and would ... Read the complete review

I have been interested in maintaining good health since I joined the gym about a year ago. The instructors for classes also offered advice on diet and were happy to talk to you about what foods would help you loose weight. My problem is my sweet tooth, Im not massive (size 14) but having been a size 10 for many years before uni I wanted to get back to at least a size 12. I think the key thing is to eat your 5 a day, as snacks such as banana, apple or orange, this will stop you eating other sweet things like chocolate. Then eat the remainder for dinner such as green beans, peas or carrots. As a vegetarian its hard for me to get a lot of ... Read the complete review

I have to be careful with what I eat as I need to remain fit and supple for work, one of the way that I do this is to make sure that alongside lots of exercise I eat a healthy diet. It is not just what you eat that makes for a healthy diet but also the amounts that you eat, after all the odd treat is fine so long as it is say a small pot of Gu chocolate cheesecake which I have lined up for this afternoon rather than a whole family bar of chocolate which my other half reckons on consuming, the fact that both of us are about to head of to the gym for a workout is merely us making room for a bit of indulgence. I tend to balance out my diet by avoiding ... Read the complete review
