Manchester City F.C. Discussion

Newest Review: ... never having the feeling United were going to score. At the final whistle all I could think about was I had another week of torture ahead. We had to win our last two games to be champions, easier said than done. We had to play Newcastle United away and then QPR at home. The general consensus amongst football fans and pundits was that the Newcastle game was a potential banana skin but win that and QPR would be a walkover and City would saunter across the finish line. Kompany's goal against United was the most important goal in City's history for less than a week. It must have been fate that he scored it. Earlier on in the season he was... more

On Sunday May 13th 2012 I arrived at the Etihad stadium full of confidence. It was the day of the biggest game ever in the history of Manchester City Football Club. For myself and for probably most of the Manchester City supporters out there, this is quite an unusual feeling. After all, Manchester City are famous for shooting themselves in the foot, for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. This was going to be the day that all my years of devoted support culminated to. This was going to be the day when Manchester City would emphatically be crowned champions of England, Premier League winners 2011-12. Anybody who is a football fan and most people that ...  Read the complete review

Are manchester city ruining football? (248 words)

Are Manchester city ruining football? In my answer yes! With their super rich Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment leading their teams finances the sky is the limit for them. The signing of Robinho for £32.5 million was a big factor in the future down fall of English football. Why would a footballer plying his trade with one of the biggest clubs in the world in Real Madrid leave them for an average premiership team? Simple answer for money! In his interview he didnt even know which team he had joined when he said he was very happy to be joining Chelsea before being corrected that he was at Man City. If a team knows that Manchester City are in the hunt ...  Read the complete review

Manchester City are a well known football team in the Premier League, playing at Eastlands and in a home strip of sky blue and were founded in 1880. They have the reputation of being a bit of a rollercoaster ride, with reliable form being an untrodden path for city, therefore their fans are regarded as some of the most loyal in the game, sticking with them through thick and thin, for instance the consecutive relagations down to what was then Divisiion two and then their rise to the Premiership again! Such an example is the epitome of Manchester city, and therefore you have to know what you are getting with them, as if you are expecting to win the Champions league you ...  Read the complete review
