Advantages: Entertaining, never a dull moment

Disadvantages: Can often let you down

Manchester City are a well known football team in the Premier League, playing at Eastlands and in a home strip of sky blue and were founded in 1880. They have the reputation of being a bit of a rollercoaster ride, with reliable form being an untrodden path for city, therefore their fans are regarded as some of the most loyal in the game, sticking with them through thick and thin, for instance the consecutive relagations down to what was then Divisiion two and then their rise to the Premiership again! Such an example is the epitome of Manchester city, and therefore you have to know what you are getting with them, as if you are expecting to win the Champions league you will obviously be disappointed (for the time being that is.)

Now Manchester City are widely regarded as the richest club in the world thanks to the ownership of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan from the UAE, who is a billionaire. This is shown by the ambitious bid they made for Kaka this year with an estimated £100,000,000 being tabled!

However this has not translated into success, or at least into instant success, with Manchester city hovering around mid-table in about 10th place, which is slightly better than when they were previously only 2 points above the relegation zone, or even in it! Alot of this has been blamed on their current manager, Mark Hughes as he is failing to make what are deemed to be appropriate signings, and quite basically allowing City to encounter a very poor run of form. And although he is saying he needs time to make it work, it is increasingly unlikely this will happen with some conspiracy theories claiming he is undercover for their arch rival Manchester United (who he used to play for and is considered a legend there) to take City to the dogs. Only time will tell how much of an increase in success the team will have

Summary: Do not get your hopes up with City, that is the key

a good evaluation of their current situation. I think if they want to go that step further and break into the top six then they'll have to get rid of mark hughes - plus i don't think he has that great a relationship with the players and owners alike. it will be interesting. nice review.
