Advantages: Manager

Disadvantages: Support

Some would say that Manchester United are the greatest club in the world. They have certainly achieved more than any other Premier League team in the 1990's, and they are a formidible team to face. They have managed to maintain to production line of young talent, and under the shrewd management of Alex Ferguson, they have attained footballing heights that have rarely been seen from other teams. However, whilst the quality of the team is exceptional, the quality of the supporters is sadly lacking. Having been to Old Trafford's "Theatre of Dreams" I can support the fact that their fans are exceptionally poor. The ground is like a morgue on match days, and the name of the ground epitomises their general character - arrogant and aloof. They believe themselves to be superior to everyone else, when in fact the greatest indication of a great club are the fans that support them. Maybe if there support didn't come from everywhere but Manchester they would be a club to be proud of.
