As a lifelong Man United fan you'll obviously think this opinion is totally biased but I'll try an be objective.

There's a few points I'd like to make about United. Firstly from a purely footballing point of view, I think you'd be hard pushed to not enjoy watching United. They play football how it was meant to be played. Last season especially it was a case of if the opposition score 3 then we'll score 4. They ended up just a couple of goals short of the century in the league but also conceded quite a few. They've got players all over the pitch who can score goals but who have also got a real will to win.

The next point I'd like to raise is the continued United bashing we United fans have to put up with. For a start I am from Manchester. It's not the club's fault or the fault of the supporters from Manchester that a lot of people from other areas choose to support them. Leave off the real fans, it's not our fault. Then there's the shirt thing. All teams have lots of strips not just United. Look at Arsenal last week, one minute they're playing in blue, the next they're in yellow and they're playing at home!! Then there's the stick United players get when they're playing for England. I guess this is mainly because the crowd is made up of southern fans but for God's sake, were all on the same side when it comes to England. I think everyone was horrified at what some 'fans' said to Beckham after one of the Euro 2000 games. It's time everyone drops this thing with Becks and give him a break.

The current United team are definitely one of the best sides ever assembled but I think the achievement of winning the Treble last year puts them in the position of the best ever. No team in England, France, Italy, Spain or Germany has ever accomplished this feat. It's very difficult to compare teams from different era's but you can compare what this team has won com
pared to previous teams and they've won the lot.

I don't expect everyone or even anyone to agree with a word I've said here but that's what Dooyoo's all about.
