I have supported Manchester United since before I could walk, I guess that it was inevitable really, as for many generations (I think it was my great-great-great-great granddad who started it all off) all of my family have supported the Red Devils.

Manchester United are an English football team, based in Old Trafford (or as many have called it 'The Theatre Of Dreams') in Trafford, Greater Manchester, and play in the English top flight, The Premier League. Man Utd. are one of the most popular teams in the world with an estimated 5% of the world population supporting them.

Man Utd. were formed in 1878 as Newton Heath, and were a founding member in the Premier League in 1992 and hae been in the English Top Flight since 1938 (with the exception of 1974-75 season). The average attendance at the club have always been the highest in English football (for all but of six seasons) since 1964-65.

Since the late 1990's the club has been one of the richest n the world, and in 2009 they were named the richest and most valuable club in any world sport, with an estimate value of around 1.1 billion pounds.

Man Utd. are one of the most successful club ever in English football history, with a record of joint number of league wins at 18, 3 Champions league/european cups, and a record of 11 FA Cups. They are currently the Premier League Champions and also the World Club Champions.

The current Manager is Sir Alex Ferguson, who overtok Ron Atkinson as manager in 1986, and in his 23 year career they have one 22 major honors, making Ferguson the most successful manager in club football history.
