Nigel Martyn has been one of the top goalkeepers in Britain for many years now and has been a regular in the England squad on many occasions. Now that David Seaman is getting older and losing some of his form it doesnt look too long before Nigel will get a good run in the team. He deserves it as he is a world class goalkeeper. He hasnt got many weak points to his goalkeeping. He is very agile and can command the area well. England look to have a good keeper in Nigel. Premium Review Europe's Best? (227 words)

When Leeds first signed Nigel Martyn from Crystal Palace, I have to admit that my first thoughts were "Isn't that a bit much for a goalkeeper?", costing more than £3.25 million pounds, this may well have been the bargain of the decade! Since the day he joined Leeds, Nigel Martyn has been an absolute revolution, and for me has been better than any other keeper I have seen in Europe! While initially he had to odd 'rush of blood' and made the odd error, the longer he has been at Leeds, the more experience he has gained, and for me is now the complete Keeper, and undoubtedly the best in the league! Forget the likes of Barthez, Westereweld, De ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nigel Martyn: Time for the no1 shirt (105 words)

Nigel Martyn has been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the country and with the diminishing form of Seamen and no other experienced goal keeper close I think it is time for the Leeds no1 to become Englands No1, Ok he wont be available for the Italy game because he is out until at least December but once the World Cup Qualifiers start again I think he should be the one to be wearing the no1 shirt. Along side him as no2 and 3 we should have some of the tallented youngsters being brought through, the likes of Paul Robinson, Nicky Weaver and Richard Wright. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review wasted potential (176 words)

Despite the fact that he is still in good form for Leeds you can't help but think the Nigel martyn's chanve to establish himself as Englands #1 has come and gone. Anyone with the slightest degree of common sense realises that Martyn should have taken Seamns place after Euro 96. Since then the mullet form arsenal has got progressively worse. However, martyn is getting on himself, and perosnally, i can't see him holding down a place in the England team for long, if that is, he ever gets one. Young keepers like Weaver and Wright are queing up for the England gloves, and with the need to get some young talent into the team, i feel that Martyn will be ...  Read the complete review

Nigel Martyn: The TIME IS NOW (104 words)

Now the only person the the world who thought seaman was better than nigel has gone, its time for the best english keeper in the leauge to move into england's number one spot. This will not come soon enough after seamans botched attempts in recent months ( err well years ) nigel has proved he is capable of being number one and I just dont understand why keegan didnt pick him. Nigel is an excellent shot stopper, great at kicking and has a dominent presense in the box. Hail! Wilkinson might just pick him for finland, we will wait and see. ...  Read the complete review
