Advantages: Good player...
Disadvantages: no room for him @ United...
David May is a good defender, though he is getting a little old now, it is likely he still has something in him. When he was in his prime, he had a great partnership with the back four players - Pallister, Bruce even Paul Parker. At one point, he was going to go onto the transfer list - for him, this would have been a good idea as at the time, there were many players being brought in to United, Japp Stam and Mikael Silvestre for example. He is in the reserve team - but has not played in the first for a couple of seasons. If I were him, I would go. There are a couple of things he could do, It is likely he would not find a place in the premiership as there has not been much seen of him. He could make his name {again} like Ian Wright did, playing for a high second division team (Burnley were when Wrighty joined them.) The other posibility is to go into managing - as the player has been under such a brilliant manager - I'm sure he would know what to do. Now, Maysie is only worth about 10grand, so my advice to him is leave United and go somewhere else where he can become a fan's favourite again... (29.11.00 - Hedge...)
