When Macmanaman left Liverpool to join Real Madrid few would have dreamt the impact he’s had over there. I have watched him play a few times and he seems such a good player. I am so surprised that he never gets chosen for England. I am sure Sven Goran will realise what a good player he is and make him a regular. Steve Mcmanaman is one of England's most creative players and his current situation with Real Madrid is such a waste of talent. After a good first season with the current European Champions, he has been left out this season which is a real shame. Steve joined Real Madrid from Liverpool on a free transfer a few seasons ago. It looked like a dream move at the time but now things have gone horribly wrong. Many English teams have shown an interets but Mcmanaman has said on many occasions that he doesn't want to come back to England. There might come a time when he has too. Mcmanaman can play one either wing and sometimes he has operated up front. He ... Read the complete review

After his superb performances for Real Madrid last season, in helping them to win the Champions League, I think it is fair to say that Kevin Keegan wasted him at Euro 200. I mean what was the point of playing him on left midfield when he is clearly one of our best players, and should be playing down the middle- surely common sense should have told him that. McManaman has tremendous pace, and can pass the ball around very effectively, as was proved last season. I think him and David Beckham would make a very strong centre of midfield and could help England to establish themselves as a foorce again. McManaman then got booted out of the Real ... Quite why Kegan would pick Real Madrid's swimming pool warmer in the England national side is beyond most people. Although he has no doubt kept himself fit walking to the club office every week to pick up his pay cheque, Kegan simple cannot pick a palyer who gets so little macth practice. It is quite noble of Macca to decide to stay In Spain on £60,000 a week gettign a suntan, rather than move to wonderful Teeside on a reduced wage packet, it is doing his England chances no good at all. Of course having no talent has never been a barrier to selection under Kegan. However, having no talent and not playing very often must be too much. To be honest Macca ... Read the complete review

Macca, has never quite produced for England like he did for Liverpool. He has played well for England, but has never really showed the form that he showed in the Champions League final. It was nice of Kevin Keegan to stick by Macca, despite being told by Real he has no chance of playing, it must have been a great boost for him. Macca has only played well for England in Euro 96, when he was terrific. But, since then he hasn't really hit top form. Although, in Euro 2000, he scored in the Portugal game and looked as if he would play well, before he picked up an injury which effectively ended his participation in the tournament. He came on as sub ... Read the complete review
