Advantages: There are none. Laughter for others I guess

Disadvantages: My pride was damaged!

How many of us have had embarrassing moments. I have had too many to even count on both my hands. I thought I'd share a few with you.

When I was on a school skiing holiday I had the misfortune to have an accident and tore 2 ligaments... that's not the funny part of the story. Picture this, me crying my eyes out in pain, with my male school teacher there, and having to take off my salopettes. Any normal person would be wearing thermals skiing in the cold but not me. There I am sitting on a hospital bed in my thong with my teacher laughing his head off. I haven't lived it down to this day. I have several other embarrassing school tales. One was in my English lesson and I was asked to put the book on my table away. I leant over the desk only to find the whole classroom laughing. My skirt was only tucked into my knickers! How embarrassing. That will teach me not to be lazy and to get up and walk around next time!

Any time spent with my brother is embarrassing. We are walking round a quite Tesco's with my mum (lets bare in mind that he is 18) and he's shouting down the aisle to us 'Mother Darling, I would quite like some of this for dinner.' The people around us found it highly amusing. I however just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. Another of his classics was when we were in Florida on holiday and him and his friend were approached by 2 very pretty young girls. The get out their camera and say 'photo'? in their foreign accent. What do they do, stand their and pose for the camera. It's only when they thrust it forward for them to take it of them that they realised it wasn't a photo of my brother and his friend they wanted. Me and my partner were in stitches.

Summary: Enjoy my shame

My OH does the whole 'Mother Darling' episode, not just in Tesco's either. :)
