Embarrasing moments are somewhere I frequently find myself.

One toe squirming episode happened in my first ever 'proper job' where I was summonsed to the very serious financial director's office for a brief on a communications piece I was writing.

SPOILER *** (Brief is the key word here) ****

Once inside his office I realised my zip on my trousers was down. And it had gone underneath the stitching at the base of the zip so a serious manouver was required to extract it.

A quick glance when he wasn't looking confirmed the worst news. I was wearing my bright turquoise shiny pants that day (they always made me feel like a super hero - as long as only I knew I was wearing them). I just ran out of his office muttering 'toilet' and quickly rectified the situation in the empty corridoor.

What I forgot to do on my return was plan a response to my actions. He asked me if I was OK and I blurted out: "My zip was stuck down and I didn't want you to think I was flashing my pants at you."

Ground and swallow me up moment here! Luckily he saw the funny side and since then, we always had a 'special' relationship at work (strictly platonic) and the serious financial director would stick up for me at meetings and give a friendly wink when no one was looking!

I have now left that workplace now but learnt my lesson that it's not always the best idea to tell the truth!

Summary: don't do it!
