Advantages: Very pleasant eateries
Disadvantages: Toilets not very nice
I love motorway service stations probably more than I should. I've travelled far and wide in my time and I've seen many storms. I have closely monitored the improvement of the services over the years. The choices these days are endless! You can lay your hands on everything that you may need, be it Cliff Richards Greatest Hits on cassette or just a simple Scotch egg. You may want to have a gamble on the arcade machines, buy some lovely flowers or call an old friend for a natter.
What I do depends on my mood, if I am excited, I go to Burger King. If I am feeling a bit 'leisurely' I go to the Granary Café and opt for some delicious food from under the heat lamps. Harry Ramsdens and 'Upper Crust' are welcome new additions at motorway services, although I did have to wait a long time for my food on one particular occasion at Harry Ramsdens.
People do say that everything at motorway services is very overpriced, especially cups of coffee, but I don't care because I hate coffee.

Although there are no hard and fast rules on the number of opinions you can post in a day, I?d recommend only doing two or three. That way you?ll get more reads and also if you read and rate other peoples reviews you?ll get a good idea of what to include in your own plus you?ll get your name know and people will read your reviews.

- 18/08/04 You're right that you can get so much from a motorway service station, but the prices they charge are daft, especially for snacks and drinks. Service is normally bad too - in busy periods I've had to queue for ages, and in the middle of the night I've sometimes had to wait ages for a member of staff to show up to serve me... |
