Advantages: Tasty, Melts!!, Makes you feel great

Disadvantages: addictive!!

~~Introduction:

This review is about the good things, the bad things and why I love: chocolate!! I have loads of chocolate, all the time!! In fact earlier on today I made some chocolate buns, 12 chocolate buns, now there are only 2!! My mum had one, so did my dad, my brother had two so that means I have eaten 6!! (Such a pig)!!

I have to admit that I am a chocoholic!! I love all chocolate (except nuts) and the way it melts in your mouth, and I love it when it is completely melted and you have to spoon it out of a bowl!! DELICIOUS!!

~~Weight Gain:

Cons:
There is a load of fat in chocolate, in fact every 50 or 60g of choc contains as much fat as a tablespoon of butter!! That is a lot of fat, meaning, that is a lot of weight gain!!

Pros:
No single food, including chocolate, can be blamed for the cause of gaining weight. Obesity and putting on weight are really complex issues, and not completely down to what you are eating ? exercise, genetics, diet, etc. All of these play an important part. Also some people, don?t gain a lot of weight when they eat chocolate - I don?t gain much and I eat loads!!

~~Heart Disease:

Cons:
As I have said, chocolate causes people to gain weight, and if you are obese then your chances of heart disease are increased.

Pros:
Cocoa butter is similar to polyunsaturated fats in the diet, and so is unlikely to raise cholesterol, so stick with quality chocolate high in cocoa butter. And some chocolate bars are full of antioxidants, which have been seen to lower the chance of heart disease. It also helps keep arteries clean.

~~Tooth Decay:

Cons:
Chocolate is a sugary food, and sugary foods are a big cause of tooth decay.

Pros: r>Chocolate contains proteins that help to build calcium in the teeth. Certain ingredients in the chocolate help your teeth in other ways as well such as: slowing down bacteria around teeth and reducing plaque.

~~Stress:

Cons:
There are no cons for this subject!!

Pros:
Chocolate is a natural stress reducer as it releases some sort of chemical in the brain that must get you worked up or something!! It's is also high in magnesium this helps stabilise those moods that we all get from time to time!!

~~Giving up:

I tried cutting back and limiting the amount of chocolate consumed every day. It didn't really work. I suppose if you are addicted, it won?t work!! Now I think I eat more than I used to!! Chocolate is so satisfying though, more so than virtually any other food. Yes, really! It has over 500 aromas and flavours that give maximum pleasure to the taste buds. So I don?t think I could ever give Chocolate up!! And I mean ever!!

~~Conclusion:

Well as you can see there are many pros and cons to chocolate, but there are more pros than cons, and I could never change my mind about chocolate!!

Chocolate tastes good and makes us feel good, there is no doubt about it, chocolate is great!! And I am proud to be addicted!!
