Advantages: there must be at least one advantage to redundancy............... .....anyone?

Disadvantages: where do i begin!

Redundancy would normally be ok, were we not in the middle of a bloody recession! On the face of it you get some cash, get a new job, and move on. Except it isn't always that simple. I've been made redundant twice in the last six months. The first time it was ok because I have been there just 2 years and got a pay out, but that didn't last very long, and now I have been made redundant again and have no savings at all and can't find another job. The government are doing nothing to help at all. I have started claiming job seekers allowance, but that doesn't even come close to paying the bills. My husband is self employed, and his business is also struggling, and we have twin babies to bring up with no money. If only we could send off all our receipts and get everything paid for like these MP's do!

Redundancy sucks, and so does job hunting. Its crap that so many people are in this sort of situation because the government can't stop spending. There should be more help for people to get out of the situation that the government themselves have caused, instead they are all worried about finding way to talk their way out of the MP's expenses debate.

I hate the government, who voted that bunch of muppets in anyway; the teletubbies would do a better job (and probably cost less!)....!
